Solve A Riddle For A Chance To Win!

Wow, it doesn't look like many people want to win prizes, Darque won by default this past week.

This week I have two riddles for you to solve. So just send me the CORRECT answers in a FB msg or email and you have the opportunity to win a prize. Think carefully, because you only get 1 guess per riddle. If you get both riddles correct, you will be put in the drawing twice.

Riddle 1:

A group of staff have been on vacation so long, that they’ve forgotten the day of the week. The following conversation ensues. Speedy: What’s the day? I don’t think it is Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Tigger: Well that doesn’t narrow it down much. Yesterday was Sunday. Squirrel: Yesterday wasn’t Sunday, tomorrow is Sunday. Hollywood: The day after tomorrow is Saturday. Titan: The day before yesterday was Thursday. Wolf: Tomorrow is Saturday. Sunshine: I know that the day after tomorrow is not Friday. If only one person’s statement is true, what day of the week is it?
Riddle 2:
You are out camping in the wilderness. You are awakened by a rustling noise. You go outside and see a bear outside your tent. You run 1 mile south, 1 mile west, and 1 mile north, to return to your camp which has been destroyed. What color is the bear?
Happy Thinking,
Squirrel

  1. I'm still working on #1.
#2 I'm going to say is Black, since that's the only color bear we have up yonder.

  2. WAIT. You aren't even back at your own camp if you don't run 1 mile back east...

  3. I might have the second one...I'm still figuring out the first one.
The bear would be white...it'd be a polar bear because you'd be at the north pole.

  4. For # 1 I think its Monday.

and for # 2 if you ran 1 mile south, 1 mile west, and one mile north you wouldn't be back at your camp site...

  5. So... what exactly do we win anyway?

  6. i think it's wednesday, and you wouldnt be back at your camp because you never went back east...so the bear's color is irrelevant since you are now lost in the middle of nowhere and probably forgot your compass.

  7. Squirrel, the second one makes no sense. For one, you wouldn't return to your campsite if you went 1 mile south, 1 mile west, and one mile north. You would be exactly 1 mile west of your campsite.... so unless the bear dragged the campsite 1 mile west, you're kind of sol... especially since your in the middle of the woods a mile away from your campsite and a bear is on the prowl... And secondly, it would depend on which wilderness you were in... because if you were in the artic, the bear would have to be white, because then it would be a polar bear. If you were in northern wisconsin, it would probably be black, because there are black bears here. If you were in Yellowstone, it would be a nice mochay brown color because then it would be a grizzly bear. So my guess would be that the bear is probably brown or black, based on relevancy to real life.

As for what day of the week it is, its probably Monday, because I bet Tigger is usually always right, and most people come back to work from vacation on a Monday.

  8. I have decided that the second one makes no sense, since you would have to be at the north pole, and the north pole is in the middle of the Arctic ocean. Unless you're Jesus, it's pretty hard to run on oceans.

  9. i'm pretty sure the day of the week is tuesday, and that the bear is white.
